Privacy policy

In plain words: what data we keep when you visit sigmasec.eu, why, and how you can control it.

Last updated: 6 October 2026

1. Who we are

The data controller is Sigma Security S.A., 5 Ethnarchou Makariou, 173 43 Agios Dimitrios, Athens, tel. +30 210 9716046, email [email protected]. For anything about your personal data, you can write to us at the same email.

This policy covers only the sigmasec.eu website. The B2B portal for installers and the S Mobile Cloud app have their own terms (see the app's privacy policy).

2. What data we collect and why

When you send us a message

Through the contact form we receive your full name, email, phone number (if you give it), subject and message. We use them only to reply to you. The legal basis is your consent, which you give with the form's tick box, and, when you ask for a quote or product information, the steps taken before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).

When you apply to become a partner

Through the installer form we also receive your business name and the areas you cover, so we can assess your application and contact you (Article 6(1)(b)).

When you ask for an installer (Greece only)

Through the “Find an installer” form on the Greek version of the site, we receive your name, phone number, area, email (if you give it), what you need and anything else you write to us. We pass them to one partner installer in your area, only so that they can contact you about your request. The legal basis is your consent, which you give with the form's checkbox (Article 6(1)(a)). From then on, the installer is responsible for the data they use in their own dealings with you.

For form security

Each message is logged with the IP address and the time it was sent. This helps us spot malicious or bulk submissions (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f)). For the same reason, the server keeps an encrypted fingerprint of the IP for one hour, to limit many submissions in a short time.

Visitor statistics, only if you agree

If you click "Accept" on the cookie bar, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read, on what device and from roughly which area. We don't use the data for advertising, we have turned off Google Signals and ad personalisation, and we don't try to identify you. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 4(5) of Law 3471/2006). If you click "Reject", Google Analytics doesn't load at all and the site works normally.

Server technical details

Like every website, the server hosting sigmasec.eu automatically logs technical details of each visit (IP address, time, page, browser) for the security and proper operation of the site (legitimate interest).

3. The site's tools run on your device

The selection guide, product comparison, “The siren on your home”, the logo on the siren, the marketing kit, the battery calculator and the customer quote all run entirely in your browser. The photos, logos, prices and customer details you enter are not sent to us. Where a tool needs to remember something (for example your business details in the quote), it is stored only on your device and you can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

4. Cookies and local storage

5. Third-party services the site loads

  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC), only with your consent. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
  • OpenStreetMap maps, only on the Greek version of the site. To show the map, your browser requests the tiles from the OpenStreetMap servers, which see your IP address.
  • cdnjs (Cloudflare), from which the map library and the marketing kit's PDF library are loaded.
  • YouTube, on the “Training” page, in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

The site's fonts are hosted on our own server, with no calls to third parties. The links to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Play and the App Store are plain links: they load nothing until you click them.

6. Who sees your data

Messages and requests are read only by the Sigma Security staff who need to reply to you. Your details pass through our hosting and email provider, which processes them only on our behalf. We do not sell your details or give them to anyone for advertising.

7. How long we keep it

  • Contact form messages: for as long as needed to handle your request and up to 2 years after our last contact, unless a partnership or a legal obligation arises.
  • Partner applications: for as long as the assessment lasts and, if we work together, for as long as the partnership lasts.
  • Google Analytics statistics: 14 months, then deleted automatically.
  • IP fingerprint for rate limiting: 1 hour.

8. Your rights

At any time you can ask for:

  • find out what data we hold about you and get a copy,
  • have them corrected or deleted,
  • restrict their processing or object to it,
  • receive them in a machine-readable format (portability),
  • withdraw your consent, without affecting anything done before.

Write to us at [email protected]. We will reply within one month at the latest. If you believe we have not respected your rights, you can lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, Kifisias 1-3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr.

9. Security

The site only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The forms are protected against automated submissions and messages reach only the company email. Requests for an installer are forwarded by us to the partner who takes them on.

10. Changes

If anything changes in the way we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
