1. Who we are
The S Mobile Cloud app belongs to Sigma Security S.A., 5 Ethnarchou Makariou, 173 43 Agios Dimitrios, Athens, Greece, tel. +30 210 9716046, email [email protected]. Sigma Security is the data controller for the data described here.
This policy covers the S Mobile Cloud app for Android and iPhone and the cloud services that come with it. For the sigmasec.eu website, the website's privacy policy applies.
2. What data we process
What you give us
- Name, email and phone number, when you create an account.
- Your account password.
- The details of your system that you enter: system name, Cloud ID and user code.
What is collected automatically
- IP address, device type and settings, operating system.
- App usage data and logs, as well as crash reports.
- Location, only if you turn on the Geofence feature (see below).
App permissions on your device
The app may ask for access to location, camera, storage and notifications. Each permission is requested separately and you can revoke it at any time in your phone's settings.
Geofence
If you turn on Geofence, the app uses your phone's location even when it is not open, to remind you to arm the alarm when you leave or disarm it when you return. The map uses Google Maps Platform. You can turn off Geofence or location access at any time.
3. Why we use it
- To create your account and sign in, including with a Google or Facebook account if you choose.
- To connect the app to your alarm and send you notifications.
- To manage your account and support you.
- To find and fix bugs and keep the service secure.
Depending on the case, processing is based on the contract for providing the service, your consent (e.g. for location), our legitimate interest in running the service correctly and securely, and legal obligations.
4. Who sees your data
We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers that help us run the service and process it on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Google Cloud Platform and DigitalOcean: hosting and infrastructure.
- OneSignal: push notifications to your phone.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports.
- Google Maps Platform: map and location for Geofence.
- TestFlight and Google Play Console: app distribution and testing.
We may also disclose data when required by law or by an authority, to protect our rights, or in the event of a merger or transfer of the company.
5. How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. When you delete it, we delete or anonymise your data. If some data is held in backups, we isolate it until it can be deleted.
6. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure, though, so use a strong password and do not share it.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw your consent. Write to us at [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. If you believe we have not respected your rights, you can contact the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
8. Deleting your account
To delete your account, email [email protected] with the subject “Account Deletion Request” and include the account's name and email. Deletion is permanent.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page. For significant changes we will also let you know in the app or by email.
